My artistic journey began in an unlikely placeā€”a bronze casting foundry in the Pacific NW. At the age of 20, I toiled there, not as an artist, but as a means to pay for college. Little did I know that the molten metal and the alchemical process of casting and applying patina's would ignite a connection and passion within me. Along with my wife, Danielle, whom at the time worked upstairs in a gallery, we shared our newly found excitement and education of art daily. As my body of work grew, my sculptures became instantly recognizable. Each animal, whether a starfish, pheasant, or long eared Jackrabbit, seemed to come alive with movement and personality, but what really sets my work apart is my skillful colorful patina finishes.

Over the next 30 years, we carved a successful path into the arts from gallery ownership to acceptance in prestigious art exhibitions throughout the US and Canada, featured in numerous publications, notable awards, important collections and placements of distinction from monumental size on down. My subject matter ranges from Sealife to Birds to Desert Critters. Inspiration comes from many places, experiencing NW wildlife while we lived on San Juan Island in WA, lots of hiking & traveling and the Sonoran Desert where our home and studio is now located in Cave Creek, AZ.

The La Quinta Art Celebration is always an exciting time for us to showcase our most lively and brightly patina'd wildlife. We will have an array of indigenous wildlife from delicate Hummingbirds to curious Roadrunners that roam the Coachella Valley along with many other subjects that tell a story and prompt many smiles & memories.
