My message is simple: As human beings, we have more in common than we have differences. I seek to illustrate this message in the universal language of art by creating beauty in a unique and passionate style that speaks to people from all corners of the earth, from all walks of life, from all political spectra, and from all age groups.
My body of work is a direct result of following my passion for more than 46 years. Over the past four decades I have developed a style that I call “Bolismo.” It can best be described as an emotion-filled approach that incorporates modest—often underdeveloped—humanoid forms that incorporate stylized textures and shading to convey the vast range of human feelings. Through this motif, I strive to communicate the love I feel for my family and friends using the mediums of painting and sculpture. These simple forms, faceless—yet paradoxically full of expression—depict the relationships we all share with those around us.
